Baqueira is one of the largest ski resorts in the Pyrenees. Bordering the Anau Valley, surrounded by forests, the ski resort of Baqueira was born in 1964. It is divided into three skiable regions: Baqueira, Beret and La Bonaigua. Because of constant investments (extending the skiable ground, the ski lift network, the artificial snow system…) and because of its many celebrity visitors, such as the King of Spain who spends Christmas in his local residence there, this ski resort has become a chic place to go, a must in the world of winter sports. If you are an intermediate or advanced skier, you can enjoy over 100 kilometers of marked pistes and many possibilities of easily accessible off-piste skiing. Some of the runs are wide for easy and relaxed skiing, while black runs put the very good skiers or snowboarders to the test with spectacular walls of powder snow. With more than 500 snow cannons and an altitude ranging from 1800m to 2500m, you can count on plenty of snow to make your holiday a success. A large number of services are available in the resort: ski equipment hire, children’s playground, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, pubs, restaurants and various boutiques. And finally, after a day of skiing out in the fresh air, the party atmosphere takes over the resort at night.
